Are there withdrawal symptoms from not smoling?

Answer:
I will assume you mean smoking...and yes...nicotine withdrawal is very real. Your body will crave it for a time, but with some discipline it will pass. Nothing life threatening here, but it will not be fun, especially at first. But believe me it is worth the effort.
Yeah, you may feel a little shaky, have headaches, and put some weight on....but its not as bad as what smoking does to your health!!!
These side effects will wear off. If you feel agitated, and like you need a *** - have some chewing gum - its a good distraction.
You put on a little weight, as your tastebuds and appetite increases - and so thats normal, but healthy!
Good luck!
The man from Del Monte he says Yes

for the others follow the link - good luck, you are doing the right thing !
As with any habit that you are trying to break, quitting smoking will cause some withdrawal symptoms. The secret to overcoming this is to have a plan. You have to replace negative habits with positive ones. Take up a new hobby or enroll in a class. Good luck!
Weight gain. Actual withdrawal like from a drug is just hype and not true in the least. You will have a lot of habit issues like at the end of a phone call, you want to light up - whoops - I quit. I have never met a person who actually had any withdrawal symptoms from tobacco. Any medication you take for anything may have to be changed as it takes a stronger dose of many things when you smoke and a lesser dose when you quit. Smoking is an ingrained habit no worse than taking aspirin for a heart condition. You just do it and it is a hard habit to break as tobacco is a strong depressant and it holds down all your anxieties. That is why you are advised to steer clear of people trying to stop. The increase in your anxiety level makes you mean and snappy and then you eat and eat and eat to stop the anxiety. Secret = take a pill for anxiety at the same time you quit. you can take .05mg of klonopin or Valium until you are addicted if necessary as this is an additction that is easy to break and it will get you through the period where you would have started to eat-eat-eat. Once by that point - stop the pills and get off them and then the next problem seems to be the one year anniversary.
There are quite a few, but its well worth it. Unfortunately, Nicotine is addictive and the cigarette companies are now putting more in each cigarette, they want us addicted. You may get all sorts of withdrawal symptoms or you may not get any--its all in your attitude and willingness to quit.
