Are there supplements that help maintain or relieve stress?

Answer:
Find yourself lashing out at somebody, stuck in anxiety, or fearful you鈥檒l you鈥檙e your job? If so, you likely have stirred up a hormone in your brain that will work against relationships, courage, and well-being. Cortisol is the hormone that appears when we slip into stress, when we feel angry or fearful, or when we respond to an email out of sheer frustration. It will shut down learning ... and can cause depression. One effective supplement for this is Cortislim.
i don't think so...unless you need an anti depressant... but if you odn't excersice helps to relieve stress and so does crying...believe it or not crying releases the harmful chemicals that stress builds up inside your body....oh and chocolate give endophans as well.
a B-Complex, multivitamin will help, st Johns wort.
Yes there are but many don't work becasue they are manufactured to a price and the manufacturer cant afford to include all the key ingredients that should be there and in sufficient potencies.

Firstly let me say don't consider any pharmaceutical anti-depressants - the side effects are too extreme and for many people make them dull, lifeless and for some virtually zombie-like.

The main causes of depression, anxiety and stress are believed to be due to nutritional insufficiency. Your nutritional status (your chemical and hormonal balance) is a major factor in how stress and/or depression affects you. There are some natural nutrients that have been scientifically proven to help stress.

The main ones are:

5 -HTP (5-Hydroxytryptophan)

Phosphatidyl Choline

SAMe (S-Adenosylmethionine)

Huperzine A

Vinpocentine

D-Phenylalanine

L-Glutamine

L-Histidine

L-Tyrosine

Inositol

Omega 3 Fish Oil

The most effective supplement must include all of these (except omega 3 which you can buy separately) all balanced in the right proportions - only a highly qualified bio-scientist or chemist (with a pharmaceutical background) can do this. So that rules out most supplements out there (put together by marketers and doctors! ) and the supplement must have a competitive selling price.

Virtually all large supplement companies can't achieve this - they have too many costs and as I mentioned above are forced to manufacture to a price. Most of them distribute their products via multi level marketing (MLM) and the huge admin costs associated with this structure impact on product development.

SAMe (S-Adenosylmethionine) is a key ingredient but is instantly destroyed if it comes in contact with stomach acid. So any supplement containing SAMe MUST have an enteric coating to protect it until the tablet reaches the upper intestine otherwise it's money down the drain.

Certain herbal extracts should also be included (e.g. Gingko Biloba, Hops, Valerian, Siberian Ginseng, Chamomile, Passion Flower).
