Only doctors, it is still a controlled substance. You may be able to find a clinic that has a sliding scale to better offset the cost. But you should really be working on how to get off the Methadone. Going from an illegal addiction to a legal prescribed addiction is still a problem and will still kill you!
As a controlled substance, there has to be a documented "chain of custody." While a COC can be established via mail order, it's actually quite expensive since it requires special personnel.
As someone else suggested, talk to the clinic to see if they have a sliding scale. And, yes, you should focus on getting off it.
